Lin, Yen Ju
Yen-Ju Lin (b. 1989, Taichung, Taiwan) is an artist, curator, and researcher based in Taipei. She holds a BFA in Fine Arts, an MFA in New Media Art, and a PhD in Fine Arts from Taipei National University of the Arts.
Working across video, new media, installation, and painting, Lin’s artistic practice examines the relationships between information-based media and reality, with a particular focus on the formation of images, symbols, and meaning. Rooted in perceptual experience and the notion of art as a space of refuge and belonging, her practice has evolved to engage with information theory, cybernetics, and systems aesthetics. Her work investigates how information is generated, translated, and transmitted across different media and systems, while exploring art as a means of engaging with cosmology. Her doctoral dissertation, Informatics of Art: Entropy, Translation, and the Act of Generation, examines the relationships between art, information, and technological systems through the processes of information transformation and generation.
Lin has presented solo exhibitions including Long Stay and Stream May Be… Pillow, Stone Can Rinse…. Her work has been featured in group exhibitions such as Non-syntax, Schizophrenia Taiwan 2.0, Groundless, Nintender, and Digital Art Festival Taipei, among others.
Her curatorial projects include Signal World [REC] (2026). She has also co-curated exhibitions presented at Ars Electronica Festival in Linz, Austria, including Computational Evolution, Echoes Toward the Stargate, Observer Pattern, and Epicentrum, as well as 2021 Zhongshan Hao Rong Yi – Outdated Daily and 2020 Kuandu Light Art Festival – Quantum Entanglement. In 2026, she serves as co-curator of Gray Autonomous Entity, the 21st Digital Art Festival Taipei.
林晏竹
林晏竹（1989年生於臺灣臺中），現居臺北，為藝術家、策展人及藝術研究者。畢業於國立臺北藝術大學美術學系、新媒體藝術研究所，並取得美術學系博士學位。
其藝術創作橫跨影像、新媒體、裝置與繪畫，關注資訊媒介與現實之間的關係，以及影像、符號與意義的生成。創作從感知經驗與藝術作為「安適之所」出發，延伸至資訊理論、控制論與系統美學，探討藝術中的資訊在不同媒介與系統中的生成、轉譯與傳遞，並試圖透過藝術作為聯繫宇宙學的路徑。其博士論文《藝術的資訊性質：熵、轉譯到生成》以資訊的運作與轉化為研究視角，探討藝術、資訊與媒介技術系統之間的關係。
曾舉辦個展「常常在家」、「枕流漱石」，作品參與「Non-syntax」、「Schizophrenia Taiwan 2.0」、「似是而非」、「嫩天堂」及台北數位藝術節等國內外展覽。
策展計畫包括2026年「訊號世界 [REC]」，並曾共同策劃於奧地利林茲電子藝術節（Ars Electronica Festival）展出的「計算演化」、「向星門的迴聲」、「觀察者模式」、「震源」，以及「2021中山好融異—逾期日常」、「2020關渡光藝術節—量子糾纏」等展覽。2026年擔任台北數位藝術節「灰色自動體」共同策展人。
